Justify Their Failures

Lesson 2

Millennials are capable of some amazing things. But they're young. They haven't been beat up by life yet. They are going to fail. Especially the Dreamers. It's just a part of life.

The problem with Millennials is they've been taught some wrong things about how the world works. The world doesn't actually hand out participation trophies. The world keeps score. The world rewards and punishes. Many Millennials are not prepared for that fact.

And it's not just Millennials. Most people respond very positively to this message:

"It's Not Your Fault."

In fact, if nobody says that to someone in a failure, they'll just say it to themselves.

Think about your own failures. How easy is it to rationalize your failures as being due to the economy or someone doing something to sabotage you or the weather...we all do it.

But Millennials most of all.

Think of ways your Millennial Retention and Loyalty Campaigns can communicate to them that their failures are not their fault.

The more they look to your company to justify their failures, the more dependent on your company they will become - and therefore, more loyal.

This may seem kind of "sneaky" but it works.
